Chad Lowe and Kim Painter’s daughter Fiona Hepler Lowe, has died at age 13

The family lost their Pacific Palisades home in the 2025 fires months before Fiona’s death

Chad Lowe’s daughter, Fiona Hepler Lowe, has died at age 13.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Sept. 29, the Lowe family said, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona.”

They remembered Fiona as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”

“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the family said, adding, “In fact, she was the light of our lives.”

Chad, 58, and wife Kim Painter, 52, welcomed Fiona on Nov. 16, 2012.

Last year, Chad shared an Instagram post celebrating Fiona entering her teenage years.

“Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!!” he captioned a photo of Fiona in 2025. “Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Fiona’s birthday came just months after the family shared the heartbreaking loss of their home in the Pacific Palisades Fire in early 2025. In February, Chad shared that the family went to see the remains of the home where all three girls had grown up.

“Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home,” he wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose. Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege ⭐️⭐️⭐️.”
