Clive Davis, the legendary music executive, has died. He was 94.
*The New York Times** *reported his death on Monday, June 22. Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Santana, Pink Floyd, and Patti Smith are among the many talented musicians he worked with through his decades-long career.
Davis, who most recently served as the chief creative officer at Sony Music, shaped many genres but was most influential in the rock and R&B realms. He won four Grammy Awards throughout his career and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 2000.
