The New York Giants have made a sensational trade for former first-round pick J.J. McCarthy as John Harbaugh seeks to keep the NFC East franchise's season alive.

With Jaxson Dart injured, the pressure was on Winston to deliver as the Giants assessed other options at quarterback. While the veteran hardly put together a polished performance, he completed 14 of 22 passes for 118 yards and led New York to a 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium.

As a result of Winston's uninspiring performance, the Giants have made a move for McCarthy. Relegated from the starting role he held in Minnesota a year ago, McCarthy lands in New York to try and realize the potential that made the Vikings spend the No. 10 overall pick on the Michigan standout in the 2024 NFL Draft
