The 30th Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships will take place in September
A gymnastics club is celebrating after having eight partnerships selected to represent Great Britain in a prestigious world championship competition in September.
Partnerships from Spelthorne Gymnastics have been selected across the youth, junior and senior ranks for the upcoming Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships, now in their 30th year.
The selection, which the club said represents the highest number of partnerships selected from any club in the UK, follows a hugely successful British Championships.
Coaching director, Adam McAssey, says the selection "reflects years of hard work from our gymnasts, coaches and families".

"Being the club with the highest number of selected partnerships in the country this year is a fantastic accomplishment.
"We are excited to watch our gymnasts compete on the world stage and know they will represent both Great Britain and Spelthorne Gymnastics with pride."
The British Championships, which also served as the final selection trial for the Great Britain team, saw the club secure five British Championship titles and three silver medals.
The World Championships, a marquee event expected to welcome about 800 athletes from 45 countries, will take place in Pesaro, Italy.
