Almost 4 years after Queen Elizabeth’s passing, Prince Harry’s gesture on her birthday showed he still has his late grandmother in his heart. While the rest of the royal family acknowledged the late Queen’s 100th birthday through official events on April 21, Harry reportedly sent flowers to her burial site to honor her centenary. After her death, the royal family put the Queen to rest at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Prince Harry reportedly sent flowers to late Queen Elizabeth’s burial site
PEOPLE reported that Prince Harry paid a sweet tribute to Queen Elizabeth on her 100th birthday by sending flowers to her burial place inside the King George VI Memorial Chapel, where the late Queen is resting beside her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip. Moreover, her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and her sister, Princess Margaret, are also buried there.
Back in 2022, Harry attended his grandmother’s funeral with Meghan Markle, even though the couple had stepped out from royal duties in 2020. After her passing, Harry released an emotional statement for the late monarch. On the Archwell Foundation website, he wrote, “In celebrating the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen — and in mourning her loss — we are all reminded of the guiding compass she was to so many in her commitment to service and duty.”

He added, “Her unwavering grace and dignity remained true throughout her life and now her everlasting legacy.” The Duke of Sussex even spoke to her directly in the message, writing, “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings.” And since then, Harry has visited Elizabeth’s grave every time he visited the U.K.
While Prince Harry marked Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday with flowers, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton took part in official royal events, including a national memorial and a reception at the palace.
