Influencer Brianna Ancheta Marries Kevin Rosario in ‘Old-World’ Cathedral Wedding with Nods to Their Filipino Heritage (Exclusive)

The couple incorporated Filipino traditions and heritage into their ceremony and decor, including a lasso and veil cord
They plan to honeymoon in Hawaii, exploring Kauai and Oahu
Brianna Ancheta and Kevin Rosario are married.
The influencer, 31, tied the knot with her longtime love Rosario, 33, in an “old-world, cathedral-style” wedding on Friday, Sept. 25, at The Sterling Hotel in Sacramento, Calif. Ancheta and Rosario, who said “I do” in a Catholic church, tell PEOPLE they wanted their reception venue to match the same beauty and style of their ceremony.
“Immediately when we saw the venue, our jaws dropped at the stained glass dome, the original kept features [and] the grand ballroom,” Ancheta says of The Sterling Hotel.
“We knew we wanted our guests to feel like they were transported back in time,” adds Rosario. “We chose this venue because of its unique, old-world style. The building was built in 1894, which naturally gives that feel.”

It was also important for the couple to incorporate their Filipino heritage in the decor and theme.
“Think silver trays, silver candelabras, lots of candlelight, but also tropical florals like orchids, anthurium and lace,” Ancheta says of the decor. “Our color palette was chocolate brown, ivory and cabernet.”
When they were planning their wedding, Ancheta and Rosario knew they wanted their close friends and family to be with them on their big day. They opted for an indoor wedding with close to 140 guests and prioritized “quality over quantity.”
A self-described “type-A bride,” Ancheta was very excited to dive into the planning process. And while it was stressful, she says it was mostly “fun stress.”

“Brianna was super excited to wedding plan, since she’s such a creative person,” Rosario says. “I tried to step in with my ideas and opinions when I could. These are things we only get to do once in our life, so we soaked it in as much as we could.”
When she walked down the aisle to “Canon in D” and “Goodness of God,” Ancheta wore a Basque-waist dress that featured “lace and drama.” She was escorted to the altar by both her mom and dad. The couple also incorporated a few Filipino traditions into their ceremony, including having a lasso and veil cord.
“The veil ceremony represents unity, and the cord ceremony, which is a double rosary, ties a rope around the couple to signify an eternal bond,” Ancheta explains. “I also incorporated trailing small, white flowers in my bouquet to represent sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines.”
Ancheta and Rosario exchanged traditional and private vows before heading into their reception. They decided to opt out of a standard seating chart and instead had staff formally escort guests to their seats one by one “to create more of a personal and elevated experience.”

Their loved ones enjoyed passed appetizers during cocktail hour and were then treated to a plated dinner. Guests dined on braised beef short rib, panko-crusted chicken with a sherry cream, mashed potatoes and salad.
For dessert, Ancheta and Rosario cut into a chocolate fudge cake with raspberry filling. The five-tier wedding cake featured Lenox swans on top and vintage lace piping. And for a late-night snack, they offered a pho and boba cart.

“We really wanted these carts included because when we first started dating, we didn’t have much money,” explains Rosario. “So these were our go-to date, and it always hits the spot.”
When it came time for their first dance, Rosario and Ancheta swayed to “Ordinary” by Alex Warren. The two had taken dance lessons while wedding planning, which offered a reprieve from the stress and created a “new love language.”

Rosario and Ancheta call their wedding a “fairy tale” and a “dream come true.” Ancheta says she’s “so grateful” to have an opportunity to celebrate their love with all their friends and family.
“For me, getting married means that I have a partner for life,” says Rosario. “Someone I can rely on, take care of and enjoy life with. This will be the person I will raise a family with and share all responsibilities with.”
“In our religion, we believe we are making a covenant with God, and it’s just so beautiful,” Ancheta says. “We vow to love each other faithfully, sacrificially, forgivingly and permanently.”
The couple first met through their best friends in 2017. On a double date at an arcade in San Francisco, sparks flew. Several years later, on Dec. 17, 2025, Rosario got down on one knee and proposed to Ancheta in San Diego on Sunset Cliffs.

As they look ahead to their life together, the two are excited to travel the world and start a family.
“What I am most excited about is starting a family,” says Rosario. “I believe we will be awesome parents and raise beautiful children.”
“I’m excited for just doing life with my husband,” chimes in Ancheta, who calls Rosario her “safe space.” “Traveling, exploring and hopefully one day we are blessed with kiddos.”
The pair are also excited to go on their honeymoon to Hawaii, where they will island-hop from Kauai to Oahu.
“Honestly, after getting married, we’d like to take it easy a bit and do some traveling,” Rosario says. “It’s been somewhat of a hectic year so far, from the engagement then straight into wedding planning. We’re definitely looking forward to the honeymoon!”

“Our honeymoon will be at our favorite place on earth, Hawaii,” he continues. “We are looking forward to all the food we love there and especially relaxing at the resorts and beautiful beaches.”
“It’s our first time in Kauai specifically, so I’m super excited to explore a new island for us,” Ancheta says. “Pretty much beach, eat, swim and lounge, and take in this new chapter!”
