Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly has accused Chicago Sky star DiJonai Carrington of cultural appropriation.
Carrington has found herself in the headlines of late after she was ejected last weekend in the Sky's defeat to the Indiana Fever for a reckless foul on Sophie Cunningham, which saw her hook her left arm around the latter's face, sending her crashing to the ground. Following the incident, Carrington took to social media, writing, "WHITE PRIVILEGE", suggesting there was another reason for her ejection.
The Sky star has since said she could not rule out another incident like the one with Cunningham happening again, with Carrington explaining her reckless foul was not intentional.

"It was unfortunate that I made contact with her in the way that I did, but it was never intentional," said Carrington of the incident, speaking to reporters.
"And, look, it might happen again. That’s just how I play. I’m gonna always go all out. I’m not gonna just let an open layup happen. But like I said, I’m never intending to hurt anybody, regardless of the outside noise or whatever the situation may be."

Carrington has also now drawn the ire of conservative commentator Megyn Kelly, who claimed the Sky star's blonde hair was cultural appropriation.
During Wednesday's edition of 'The Megyn Kelly Show', the former FOX News host pulled up two photos of Carrington side by side, showing her with two different hair colors, criticizing her for having "white girl hair."
Kelly said Carrington has "hair that's whiter than mine, straighter than mine, super long."
She continued, "It goes down to her butt now, and she can wear this, which is obviously white girl hair. But I can't wear a braid, or I'm a racist. Like, or in Canada, 'a feather'. No, you can't do it, but this is fine.
"She's allowed to culturally appropriate from me, but I can't culturally appropriate from her because it only works one way in becoming a racist, which is b------- ... How dare she try to play the white privilege card."

And Carrington's hair was not the only thing about her that Kelly critiqued. The conservative commentator also made comments about the 28-year-old's appearance.
"She appears to have done something like to give herself filler face, like the super puffed out cheekbones, the like overly arched eyebrows, the overly lined lips, and the 'tude with like the facial expression and the bright blonde hair," added Kelly.
Carrington herself has said that her natural hair color is ash blond. Speaking in an Instagram live stream, the Sky star said, "Next hair color? Well, I went back to my natural color today, of ash blond. Yes, I said natural."
