No one is prouder of Noah Wyle's Emmy-winning success than his three kids, Owen, Auden and Frances.

"You always hope your kids know how hard you work," The Pitt star told PEOPLE in September 2025. "You always hope your kids know how much of yourself you fit into what you do by example for them. This last year, I've really felt that they've been listening and watching and it's been impactful."

The actor became a dad on Nov. 9, 2002, when his then-wife Tracy Warbin gave birth to their son, Owen. They welcomed daughter Auden three years later on Oct. 15, 2005, before splitting. Noah married his wife, Sara Wyle, in June 2014, and their daughter Frances was born one year later on June 22, 2015.

Though Noah is widely recognized for his starring role as Dr. John Carter on ER, he told PEOPLE in March 2025 that his two eldest children have yet to watch the show.

"They've watched more Grey's Anatomy than they have ER," he said. "It's a point of contention."

"However, the older they get and the more they seem interested in this business, the more I kind of want to hold that up as something that they might want to engage in," Noah continued.

But not to worry, The Pitt fans! They are watching his Emmy-winning HBO Max series, in which their dad stars as Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch. The show premiered its second season on Jan. 8.

During his March 2025 conversation with PEOPLE, Noah reflected on his decades-long career, opening up about how becoming a parent changed how he selected which roles to accept.

"My tastes changed radically after my son was born," the Falling Skies star said. "After I was a father, I suddenly was very conscious of the things that my kids would be watching their father do or say."

He added, "It curbed some of my impulses to reach for characters that are way more on the friend. You know, I'd rather play good guys."

Two of Noah's children have a special meaning attached to their names. Owen shares his dad's middle name — Strausser — and Auden was named after Pulitzer Prize-winning poet W.H. Auden.

She said in a January 2024 interview with Ryan Glover that she has a "special connection" to the writer and that his poem "As I Walked Out One Evening" is her favorite.

During an April 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Pitt star opened up about how his roles in multiple medical shows have impacted life at home.

Two of Noah's three children might be following in their father's footsteps.

The actor told PEOPLE that Owen, who is currently enrolled in college at Boston University, per his Instagram bio, is "taking all sorts of film classes with an eye towards ending up in this industry somewhere."

"I tell him every day it's a big tent. We've got truck drivers, lawyers, carpenters," he said. "But he really likes the circus and so it's gonna be hard to keep him out from under the big tent."

Meanwhile, Noah shared that Auden has "already embarked on her acting career" — and said she is "well ahead" of where her father was at her age.

In fact, Auden played Noah's on-screen daughter in Leverage: Redemption!.

In October 2021, Auden shared an Instagram photo of her and Noah on set, writing, "I had the best time doing this episode with great people, and an especially great scene partner @therealnoahwyle 🤍."

The actor hasn't shared what path his younger daughter might take, but he's confident she'll do great in whatever she chooses.

Noah told PEOPLE that Frances is "a dynamo who can do anything she wants with her life," while emphasizing that though he'd support any of his kids in their endeavors, "everybody's journey is their own."

He expressed a similar sentiment about his daughter when wishing her a happy 8th birthday on Instagram in 2023. "You’ve made every day and every room brighter for 8 years," Noah captioned a photo from Frances' birth. "We love you so."
