Presley Gerber was supported by his parents at his last public appearance before his death.
The model, who died on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 27, was joined by mom Cindy Crawford and dad Rande Gerber at the We Are ENOUGH x Aviator Nation launch event in Malibu, Calif., on June 11. The trio posed together for photos as they celebrated the launch of the brands’ bracelet collection, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting mental health organizations.
Presley participated in a panel discussion moderated by Tyler Ramsey during the event with TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie, Aviator Nation founder Paige Mycoskie, Lauren Scruggs Kennedy, Caroline Baudino and Chance Hindirlane. He and his parents were also all smiles in a group photo with the other panelists.
During the panel, Presley spoke of his own mental health struggles and addiction journey, sharing a personal breakthrough that helped him realize he was “enough.” According to **’s sister site PEOPLE, he explained that, at 23, he experienced a shift after coming off various medications and realizing who his authentic self was as he attempted to silence the internal voices in his head.
“The most free I felt was when I was finally honest with myself,” he told the audience, noting the pressures of growing up in the public eye.
Presley also added that movement and being in nature always helped him navigate his mental health.
“Move your body regardless of how you’re feeling,” he said at the event. “Get outside. Get some sun. If you don’t feel like moving, lay on the grass.”

Presley had struggled for years, revealing late last year in a now-deleted social media video that he was taking various medications to treat his addiction and depression. “I’m just looking for a doctor that’s going to actually help me taper,” he said of the drugs. “Every psychiatrist I’ve had, and I’ve had like 15, they’re all like, ‘Well, here’s 20 medications.’ I’m just trying to, hopefully, find a good community.”
In August, Presley’s sister Kaia Gerber made rare comments on his struggles and commended him for sharing his truth.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” *The Shards* star told *Vogue* in a profile. “I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”

She continued, “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything — and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’”
