Prince Harry was criticized by a royal expert for "weaponizing his pain" against the royals and for "trying to burn the Palace down" when his relatives needed him "the most".

The Duke of Sussex departed the Firm in early 2020 for a new, financially independent life with his wife, Meghan Markle, in America.

The Sussexes leveled a series of allegations against the royals following their departure through interviews, a Netflix docuseries, and Harry's memoir, Spare.

Harry and Meghan's accusations against the Firm are believed to have significantly deepened the rift between the two sides. The Royal Family has never responded to the majority of the Sussexes' claims.

Now, a royal expert has charged the couple with displaying a "complete lack of emotional intelligence".

The Daily Mail's Sarah Vine chronicled Harry and Meghan's "decade of drama" from the initial stages of their relationship until now.

She stated that throughout their time as a couple, the Sussexes have appeared to possess a "weapons-grade sense of entitlement" but have failed to show awareness of the consequences of their actions.

Ms Vine said: "For two people who claim to be so in tune with their feelings and those of others, time and again they have demonstrated a complete lack of emotional intelligence, combined with a weapons-grade sense of entitlement.

"They are so wrapped up in their own drama, so insulated in their bubble of privilege, they fail to realize how thoroughly charmed their existence is. And that is a most unattractive trait."

Commenting further on Prince Harry, she noted: "At a time when the Royal Family needed Harry most, he not only slammed the door in their face, but he also tried to burn the place down on the way out.

"No one is suggesting he doesn't have a right to be hurt - but weaponizing your pain as he has done only perpetuates the cycle of sadness."

During his headline-grabbing 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry reflected on his time as a working royal, saying: "I was trapped, but I didn't know I was trapped.

"My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don't get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that."
