In an exclusive post on Entertainment Weekly, many rare behind-the-scenes photos were captured by Jourdynn Jackson, who is the King of Pop’s nephew, and Jaafar Jackson, who brings life to the King of Pop’s character in the movie.

Michael Jackson’s storyline, which is brought to life through the newest movie, perfectly captures the King of Pop’s rise as a global star. Right after the release of the movie, it broke many records, and within the first weekend of the release of the movie, it gained a massive $217 million.

Entertainment Weekly unveiled some of the rare behind-the-scenes photos of the movie, which depict the distinct manner in which Jaafar Jackson embodied the role.

These photos were captured on the set of the biopic. In the email shared by Jourdynn Jackson, he thanked the producer of the movie, Graham King, for giving him the opportunity and “trusting him” with his camera so that he could capture these photos. He also shared his gratefulness for letting him be “the fly on the wall” so that he could “capture” these moments of the movie. He also pointed out that the whole experience was “amazing”.

The photos of Michael, which Jourdyn Jackson captured, are from the “rehearsals and pre-production”. Some of these moments include Jaafar Jackson “locked in and giving it everything,” which Jourdynn was able to “witness and photograph”. Jourdyn Jackson also pointed out the experience he had while watching Jaafar transform “into Michael,” indicating it as a “coming-of-age” experience.

Jourdyn Jackson keeps on appreciating Jaafar Jackson for his “hard work,” noting that the “dedication” which he depicted in the movie can be seen, and he is very “proud” of what his half-brother has achieved. Though Jaafar Jackson’s portrayal is the primary focus of the movie, it cannot be denied that the other cast members of the movie have also done a remarkable job in delivering their corresponding characters.

Some of the other cast members of the movie include Nia Long taking on the role of Katherine Jackson, Juliano Valdi, the very talented Colman Domingo bringing life to the character of Joseph Jackson, Jaylen Lydon Hunter, Judah Edwards, etc. After making a huge success at the box office, the movie is all set to release on the streaming platform to reach a wider audience.

The movie will be available for streaming on Starz from August 10. Antoine Fuqua took the helm for directing the movie. Some of Antoine Fuqua’s other notable projects include Mayor of Kingstown, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, The Equalizer 3, The Resident, etc. Juliano Krue Valdi, who took on the helm of bringing life to a young Michael in the movie, spoke in an interview with EW about how “surreal” the whole experience has been for him.

Jaafar Jackson, after delivering an impeccable performance in the movie, is now all set for a new project titled Supermax. From depicting the King of Pop’s character in the movie to diving into an intense world of action thriller in Supermax, it will be intriguing to see how the actor delivers in this upcoming project.
