- Brendan Fitzpatrick, former star of *Rick Kids of Beverly Hills*, is facing $80 million worth in lawsuits related to his global mining company.
- In a separate legal issue, the Palm Beach-based realtor is being sued for $74 million over a failed property venture in Greece.
- *Rich Kids of Beverly Hills* aired for four seasons on E! until 2016.
*Rich Kids of Beverly Hills* star Brendan Fitzpatrick is being accused of operating a get-rich-quick scheme.
According to a lawsuit filed in Florida (and reviewed by **), the former reality star allegedly scammed several wealthy businessmen out of more than $80 million in a ruse involving "mining concessions" in Asia and Africa.
One of the plaintiffs, Heavy Metal Capital Partners, claim that Fitzpatrick's company Carbonatik LLC, a global mining venture based in Sri Lanka, solicited them for a $500,000 investment and promised "a guaranteed 120 percent dividend beginning in July 2025."

Carbonatik reportedly presents itself as owning over 20 "high-purity" graphite, copper, and rare-earth mineral mines throughout Sri Lanka, India, and Tanzania.
However, Heavy Metal Capital's complaint alleges that Carbonatik misrepresented themselves as having "already funded investor facilities and mining concessions to support immediate production."
Carbonatik allegedly later informed Heavy Metal Capital "they still needed $1–2 million merely to fund 'preparatory work' and 'trial shipments' and had not yet secured the promised financing or production capability," according to the lawsuit.

Legal representatives for Carbonatik/Fitzpatrick and Heavy Metal Capital Partners did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
But in a counterclaim, Carbonatik submitted an answer denying all claims made by Heavy Metal Capital and countersued for various causes of action, including breach of contract, defamation, and tortious interference.
Heavy Metal Capital is one of several plaintiffs who are suing Fitzpatrick and Carbonatik, "many of which include claims of fabricated bank statements, appraisals, and letters of intent," reports the *New York Post*.
Additionally, in a separate legal issue, the *Post* claims that Fitzpatrick, now a Palm Beach-based realtor, is being sued for $74 million over a failed property venture in Greece.

Fitzpatrick rose to fame on the E! reality series *Rich Kids of Beverly Hills*, which showcased the extravagant lives of uber-wealthy twentysomethings, including his then-girlfriend Morgan Stewart, social media influencer Dorothy Wang, and E.J. Johnson, the son of Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.
Fitzpatrick proposed to Stewart in 2015 with a 4-carat diamond ring, and the couple's wedding served as the 2016 series finale of *Rich Kids of Beverly Hills* after four seasons. Three years later, Fitzpatrick and Stewart divorced.
