The suspect of plotting an attack at Taylor Swift’s Vienna concert in August 2024 has reportedly been facing charges. On Monday, the prosecutor’s office announced the verdict against the main suspect named Beran A. According to a report, he was accused of being part of a terrorist organization and of other offences. For those unversed, Swift had to cancel a three-day concert in Vienna two years ago. She seemingly mentioned the Eras Tour horror in an episode of her documentary, “The End of an Era.”

Taylor Swift’s Vienna concert in August 2024 was forced to be canceled due to a terrorist plot. After years of investigation, Vienna prosecutors announced on Monday that the suspect would reportedly face charges. The BBC reported that a 21-year-old Austrian man, identified as Beran A, allegedly received “online instruction” to create a bomb.
Furthermore, the prosecutors reportedly mentioned that the suspect made several attempts to illegally purchase weapons outside the country. As per the indictment, he has allegedly been charged with terrorism and other crimes over the concert attack plot. If convicted, the outlet claimed that he could go to jail for up to 20 years.
Before Swift’s Vienna gig, the CIA helped in arresting Beran A and two other suspects. Due to the terrorism threats, the three-day concert at the Ernst Happel Stadium was cancelled. Reportedly, over 195K people were expected to attend the Eras Tour event.
Later, the “Life of a Showgirl” hitmaker mentioned the cancellation in a lengthy post on Instagram. She wrote, “Having our Vienna shows cancelled was devastating. The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows.” Furthermore, she expressed her relief over the fact that they “were grieving concerts and not lives.”
