A new day, a new lore. And this time, attention has turned to a theatrical series of events involving OpenAI's Sam Altman, Grindr, and a viral comedian who goes by the name Frosted Jake... But here's the thing: It's entirely made up.

It didn't stop there... Oh no, the whole thing snowballed out of control.
Jake returned to Instagram with 13 different posts, ranging from Glee-style ballads detailing the apparent interactions to a claim that he was about to join a legal call with OpenAI, along with screenshots of compensation emails to remove the posts.
One read: "Jake, Thanks for chatting today. The best we can offer is $500 and a branded crew neck.
"Please send your size and mailing address.
"Best,
Legal".

Still, despite the apparent questionable offer(s), people were still convinced the saga was very much real.
"I will pay you more plus some swag from my last book to keep it up," one quipped, as many more encouraged him to push for more: "They really wanted the farce to bring them exposure. lol let’s ask for $10,000 friend!"

As mindless brain-rot scrolling goes, was it entertaining? Absolutely. Factually accurate? Not so much.
“The posts are fake. We’ve had no interaction with this person,” an OpenAI spokesperson told Vulture.
And if you already follow Jake and his gloriously unhinged creative ballads, you’ll know this is very much in keeping with the kind of content he makes.
