You won’t get a “yeah!” from Usher on this conspiracy theory.
The singer recently took to Instagram to dispel rumors about a video that some people thought was a “clone” of Usher performing at a Chris Brown concert.

Radio station Power 105.1 shared the footage in question, writing, “Sooooo folks are debating if this was really @USHER or he had a clone.”
“Ya’ll are funny…clone? They can’t clone this??” Usher wrote in the comments section of the Instagram.
He added, “How ya’ll come up with this? AI ain’t that advanced.”
A few people offered up theories as to why the clone rumor started.

“Look more like the walk of a man going the wrong way and rushing to get to his assigned spot,” one person wrote.
Another added, “He clumsy he doesn’t move smooth like real usher.”

One commenter helped shoot down the rumors, writing, “He literally walks through the crowd after this song lol and he walked right in front of me. It was him.”
Usher isn’t the only singer who’s faced clone rumors over the years. For years, Avril Lavigne has been plagued by theories that she actually died in the early 2000s and was replaced by a body double.
Lavigne addressed the crazy conspiracy during an appearance on “Call Her Daddy” back in 2024, saying “it’s just funny to me.”
“On one end, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, my God, you look the exact same. You haven’t aged a day,’” she said. “But then, other people are like, ‘You know, there’s a conspiracy theory that I’m not me.’”
“Honestly, it’s not that bad. It could be worse, right?” Lavigne added. “I feel like I got a good one. I don’t think it’s, like, negative or anything, like, creepy ... I mean, obviously, I am me ― it’s so dumb.”
