The couple addressed criticism of their young marriage, with Venezuela, 16, saying she's found the person she wants

Venezuela Fury and Noah Price are recalling the early days of their relationship.

On Monday, June 22, the newlyweds spoke about married life during their first joint TV interview on ITV's This Morning. Venezuela, 16, and Noah, 19, have recently returned from their honeymoon in Marbella, Spain, after tying the knot on the Isle of Man on May 16.

The couple told hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley that they first met at a family function, but didn't start dating until a year later. Shephard quizzed Noah whether he was hesitant to talk to Venezuela because she's the eldest daughter of "well-known" heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury and his wife Paris.

"I don't really know. I did try to text her before, I got ignored," said Noah. "I was just waiting for a reply. I finally got it after a year though."

While the amateur boxer insisted that he knew Venezuela was "the one" from the moment they met, she gave a slightly different response when Shephard asked if she had felt the same way and .

The host emphasized that Noah was her first-ever boyfriend.***

"I think if you're dating someone you should always look into the future. It's not just what's fun for now," said Venezuela.

"He did always tell me, 'I'm gonna marry you,' but obviously you've got to take everything with a pinch of salt," she continued, adding, "It all worked out, didn't it?"

Venezuela went on to address the negative opinions surrounding her decision to marry Noah at a young age.

"I think as long as it's not my family or my friends, they are the people that matter to me, I ain't bothered," she said. "I don't like people being unkind. I don't agree with it, like spreading badness where they shouldn't be."

"Yes, I am young, but I've found the person I want and I've carried on with my life," she added. "Everyone's got to start somewhere, so I started young."

Since their wedding, the At Home With The Furys star and Noah have moved into a chalet in the Midlands, England, which Venezuela said was near a lot of Noah's family.

She also described him as her "best friend" as she reflected on their newlywed life.

"I'm enjoying it so far. We've only been married a month, but everything's going smoothly and I'm learning new things every day," she said. "I'm learning how to cook, we go everywhere together, we do everything together. It's really nice so far. He really is my best friend."
