Anne Hathaway's due for a break, but with her third child on the way, she's unlikely to get one anytime soon. The actor has had a huge year promoting five films and Oct. 2 marks the release of the last — Verity.
During that time, Hathaway's press tour wardrobe has told a story almost as varied as her movies and given a nod to each film. Her Mother Mary looks were a mix of spectacle and fragility, indicative of the troubled pop star she played in the movie, while her The Devil Wears Prada 2 fashion was structured, impactful and high-glamour, befitting a fashion-world sequel.
For The Odyssey, when her pregnancy was visible, Hathaway's outfits were regal, romantic and strong with column-like silhouettes, empire waists and pleats speaking to her role as Penelope — a mother, wife and queen.
She relaxed her fashion at the premiere for The End of Oak Street, pairing jeans with a high-fashion top that echoed the juxtaposition of everyday life and extraordinary events that her character experiences in the sci-fi adventure.
For her final red carpet of 2026, a suitably dark and dramatic black gown was selected for the Verity premiere. But it was a daytime ensemble, worn while arriving at The Drew Barrymore Show, that was really striking: a top with panels that framed and showed her baby bump.
Here are the Oscar winner's standout looks from a blockbuster year — and an increasingly adventurous maternity wardrobe.
Quite an entrance

Anne Hathaway wears a semi-sheer Lever Couture made from shimmering sheer ribbons to a screening ofMother Maryin New York.
A shimmering, sculptural custom Lever Couture dress was Hathaway's pick for the New York premiere of Mother Mary. Her jewelry may have been tough to spot, but the Bvlgari rings and earrings were worth more than $100,000.
Dark and delicate

Looking every inch the film star, Hathaway wore a bright red Louis Vuitton dress toThe Devil Wears Prada 2premiere.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour was always going to require some high-fashion attire and Hathaway didn't disappoint in this lipstick-red Louis Vuitton gown. According to Porter magazine, it was the favorite tour look of Erin Walsh, Hathaway's longtime stylist.
More is more

A maximalist striped Louis Vuitton dress, worn to a London event forThe Devil Wears Prada 2, was a departure from Hathaway's usual block-color gowns.
Another Louis Vuitton gown, this time cascading and crafted from a statement stripe fabric, was worn to a London event held in celebration of the movie.
Movie star mode

Hathaway turned to Versace for this showstopper of a dress, worn to the European premiere ofThe Devil Wears Prada 2.
A form-fitting Versace dress, paired with Bvlgari jewels and a fashion pony, was a refreshing change at the movie's European premiere.
Worth the wait

Hathaway wore a pleated blue Dior gown to the world premiere ofThe Odyssey.
Hathaway's regal blue Dior gown had been considered for some time. The actor told People that she had found the dress ahead of promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2, but opted to save it for The Odyssey press tour as she thought it would work well with her growing baby bump.
Goddess energy

A Prada dress was the outfit of choice for the New York premiere ofThe Odyssey.
A flowing Prada dress with pleats, an empire waist that sat atop her baby bump and a beaded bodice screamed Greek goddess at the New York premiere of The Odyssey.
Short and sweet

A flowing babydoll dress by Blumarine was a daytime maternity wear look while promotingThe Odysseyin London.
For a daytime press event for The Odyssey, Hathaway turned a runway look into the perfect maternity piece. The Blumarine white minidress featured ruffles — one of Hathaway's go-to designs — billowing fabric and plenty of romance, ideal while promoting a movie in which she's playing a mythical Greek queen so deeply devoted to her husband.
Jean queen

This bump-revealing Prabal Gurung top was an unexpected ensemble atThe End of Oak Streetworld premiere.
Pairing low-rise jeans with such a high-fashion top was unexpected and showcased a more playful side of Hathaway's style. The Prabal Gurung top put the star's pregnancy center stage and paired perfectly with the red pumps glimpsed under her pants.
Dramatic finish

Prabal Gurung was chosen again at the New York premiere ofVerity.
For her final premiere of the year, Hathaway wore yet another Prabal Gurung look: a dramatic, voluminous black dress with a sheer train and embellishments. The dress featured a strapless design, one of Hathaway's favored silhouettes.
